By yielding to the benefits of a soothing and calming massage, the body is left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Hot Stone Therapy Massage
Hot stone massage has ancient roots. Hot stones have been used for divination, warmth, healing and protection since the beginning of time. Chinese have been using hot stones to relieve muscular pain for some 4,000 years and Native Americans, well known for sweat lodges, have used heated stones on the lower abdomen to relieve cramps. The direct heat of our warmed basalt stones will relax your muscles, allowing the massage therapist to massage the body in long flowing strokes and unwind muscle tension and stress from your body.
Aroma Luxe Massage
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using essential oils to enhance the well-being of body, mind and spirit. Through the therapeutic power of touch from our skilled Massage Therapists, combined with the healing and balancing properties of pure essential oils, this personalized massage is chosen to address your individual spiritual, physical or mental happiness. Arrival 15 minutes prior to this session is recommended to allow time for an aromatherapy analysis.
Tension Relief Massage
A tension relief massage is a wonderful way to channel all the tension accumulated during the day out of the body. A combination of deep tissue and Swedish massage relieves this tension concentrated on the neck, back and shoulders.
This light, gentle massage is designed for the mother-to-be and focuses on relieving lower back discomfort and fatigue and reducing stress on weight-bearing joints. This massage is performed from the second trimester only.
Firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation.
Swedish massage employs five different movements:
- long, gliding strokes
- kneading of individual muscles
- hacking or tapping
Focus on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders with movement that is slower and pressure that is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.
Essential form of massage for optimum treatment of certain injuries and is excellent for helping prevent sports injuries.
Practice of relaxing tense muscles, easing sore spots, improving circulation and mobility, and just making you feel good. But it’s also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies.
